StockMarketWire.com - Haynes Publishing Group said it will close its French operations effective November 30th.

All French employees have been made redundant.

The group said the decision followed several years of losses.

The company, which publishes car and motorcycle repair manuals, in a trading statement said estimated close-down costs will be around £500,000.

Last year the French business lost €233,000 on sales of €927,000.

In October, Haynes had warned that it could experience a further decline in its trading performance this year, due to the impact higher energy prices are having on its potential customers.
