StockMarketWire.com - Belgravium Technologies' wholly-owned subsidiary Novo Ivc, has installed its on-board retail software system MSS on British Airways.
The move follows in-flight duty-free operator Tourvest Duty Free being appointed to supply and manage BA's inflight retail business.
Novo collaborated with Tourvest to develop the hand-held unit used by cabin crew for on-board retail sales as well as the design and supply of the associated software.
During the selection process Tourvest and Novo were able to demonstrate that MSS provides the highest levels of operational reliability and functionality with a complete inventory management system, the capability of handling multiple currency payment transactions and ability to interface with Tourvest's back office systems.
Approximately 1900 Kestrel handsets designed and assembled by Belgravium have been supplied as well as the necessary software and hardware support.
In addition, through Tourvest, an agreement is in place for Novo to provide on-going maintenance for both hardware and software.
