Oil & Gas Sector: Market remains quiet as figures for US gas storage and oil stocks are pushed back
Oil giant BP [LON:BP.] reported that it has transferred 715,894 ordinary shares from treasury to participants in its employee share schemes.
BP now holds 1,823,454,471 ordinary shares in treasury and has 19,135,512,546 in issue.
And Coastal Energy reported share transactions by chief executive Randy Bartley and [LON:CEO] chief financial officer William Phelps.
Regal Petroleum [LON:RPT] was the sector's biggest riser - up by nearly 8% in late afternoon trading - while the biggest fallers were Caza Oil & Gas [LON:CAZA] and Oilex [LON:OEX] - down by nearly 8% and more than 5% respectively.
