StockMarketWire.com - The Brazilian real higher against the euro on Wednesday despite a fall in foreign exchange flows.

The real was 0.75% higher at BRL2.5408 against the single currency in afternoon trading while it was 0.18% higher at BRL1.9608 against the greenback.

The Brazilian Instituto Brasiliero de Geografia e Estatistica reported that foreign exchange flows posted a monthly decline of BRL370 million compared to the previous reading in surplus of BRL420 million.
