- Churchill Mining said it had filed a reply to Indonesian authorities following an adverse tribunal ruling against the company regarding the stripping of a mining permit.

In its reply, the company claimed that the tribunal appointed to hear its case against the Indonesian government had 'failed in its basic duties'.

The next scheduled steps in the dispute included Indonesia filing its response to the reply by 10 April and an annulment hearing to be held on 16 and 17 of July.

'In my view Churchill has, without doubt, been the victim of an unfair arbitration process as a direct consequence of the fundamental failure of the ICSID Tribunal hearing this case to perform its basic duties,' Churchill chairman David Quinlivan said.
