StockMarketWire.com - Savannah Resources said it had intersected more high-grade lithium deposits at its Mina do Barroso project in Portugal.

Results from the drilling of two new holes at the extended Grandao section demonstrated consistent mineralisation, including, for example, 50 metres at 1.18% lithium dioxide from a depth of 72 metres.

'We continue to see very encouraging results from the drilling of Grandao extended which, together with Grandao, are matched by a very low stripping ratio,' chief executive David Archer said.

'We believe this highlights the significant expansion potential available at Mina do Barroso as we continue to fast-track the project towards production.'
