StockMarketWire.com - Support services group DCC said Friday it had acquired two businesses for a combined enterprise value of £110m, while forecasting its profits to be significantly weighted to the second half.

The acquisitions included Stampede, a US-based specialist distributor of professional audio-visual products.

Kondor, meanwhile, was a UK distributor of audio and mobile accessory products to e-tailers, retailers and mobile operators.

DCC said operating profit in the first quarter was in line with expectation, well ahead of the prior year, driven by acquisitions.

It also said it expected to generate profit growth in fiscal 2019. 'The acquisition of Stampede significantly strengthens DCC Technology's position in the attractive and growing Pro AV market and also provides DCC Technology with a platform for growth and development in North America,' said Donal Murphy, Chief Executive of DCC.

'The acquisition of Kondor further enhances both DCC Technology's service proposition and its market position, where it has grown to be a leading service provider to the retail channel in Europe.'
