StockMarketWire.com - Prudential said said the head of its M&G Investments business, Anne Richards, was resigning to take up another role in the financial services sector.

Her departure came ahead of a planned demerger of the company's UK and European business, M&G Prudential.

Richards would be replaced on 10 August by Clare Bousfield, the current chief executive of Prudential UK.

M&G Prudential chief executive John Foley would have his role expanded to head up the key regulated entities of M&G and Prudential UK.

'These management changes will help M&G Prudential to deliver better outcomes as a separate listed company,' Prudential chief executive Mike Wells said.
