StockMarketWire.com - Media company Grupo Clarin reported Friday a plunge in first-half income as the loss of revenues from the discontinued Cablevision division weighed.

For the six months to 30 June, income for the period attributable to equity shareholders fell 63.0%. to Ps 553.1m from Ps. 1.49bn, revenues rose 12.7% to Ps 7.08bn and adjusted earnings (EBITDA) more than doubled to Ps 643.2m.

The slump in income was mainly due to lower results of discontinued operations, since the results of Cablevision were not consolidated, as compared to the first half of last year, the company said.
