- Health and environmental technology group Halma said Friday it had acquired Belgium-based fire control panel manufacturer Limotec for €9.3m.

Limotec would become part of Halma's infrastructure safety unit, Halma said. Its existing management team would remain with the business.

'Limotec strengthens our presence in continental Europe, bringing strong brand equity and robust technology to further enable us to capitalise on growth trends in fire detection, including increasing regulation and digitalisation,' chief executive Andrew Williams said.

'This acquisition follows our successful acquisition of Advanced Electronics in the UK in 2014 and is a further example of our strategy to acquisition.' Story provided by
