StockMarketWire.com - Mosman Oil and Gas posted an annual loss as spending developing is assets offset a rise in revenue.

Pre-tax losses for the year through June amounted to $4.1m, narrowing from losses of $9.2m on-year.

'The outlook for junior oil and gas companies is still very challenging, especially in the light of recent oil price movements,' the company said.

'But Mosman looks forward to 2019 and 2020 with greater optimism now that a firm production base has been established and plans for increasing production are in place.'
