StockMarketWire.com - The UK services purchasing managers' index fell to 50.4 in November, the lowest reading since July 2016, according to IHS Markit

The index had fallen from 52.2 in October and came in well below market expectations of a rise to 52.5.

'Reports from survey respondents suggested that subdued business and consumer spending had held back growth in November,' IHS Markit said.

'A number of firms noted that heightened Brexit uncertainty had led to delays with clients' business investment decisions.'
