StockMarketWire.com - Listed infrastructure investment company International Public Partnerships said toob announced it had secured investment from the National Digital Infrastructure Fund to roll out broadband to more than 100,000 premises by the end of 2021.

Toob was a full fibre broadband provider led by Nick Parbutt, a former director of Vodafone UK, and chaired by Charles McGregor, former chairman of Gigaclear.

The NDIF funding would support the delivery of gigabit broadband speeds to more than 100,000 premises by the end of 2021, the company said.

'The toob investment falls within the framework of INPP's previously announced overall commitment of up to £45 million to digital infrastructure via the National Digital Infrastructure Fund ('NDIF'), alongside HM Treasury, INPP said. 'To date, about £15m of this commitment has been called by NDIF, supporting NDIF's investments.'
