- Brazilian focused miner Serabi Gold posted an 11% rise an first-quarter gold production and maintained its annual output guidance.

Production for the three months through March rose to 10,164 ounces, up from 9,188 on-year, but down from 10,256 ounces in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Guidance for 2019 was maintained at the range of 40,000-to-44,000 ounces, which would represent a rise from 37,108 ounces in 2018.

'This has been another excellent quarter and continues the momentum of the fourth quarter of 2018 when we also produced over 10,000 ounces in the quarter,' chief executive Mike Hodgson said.

'This is the first time that the operations have achieved two successive quarters with gold production above 10,000 ounces and puts the company in a strong position to meet its 2019 production guidance.'
