StockMarketWire.com - Colombia-focused Amerisur Resources stuck to its annual production guidance after it recorded a recent output boost.

The company's working-interest production was now at around 6,500 barrels of oil per day following a successful work-over campaign at the Platanillo asset.

Production at the end of April averaged 5,019 bopd, with Platanillo averaging 3,271 bopd.

Production guidance for the full year was maintained at 5,000-to-6,000 bopd and did not include any contribution from exploration drilling.

Amerisur recently started drilling the Platanillo-26 infill well, targeting a potentially undrained area of the Platanillo field.

The well was drilling ahead at 7,800 feet with a target depth of 9,350 feet.

The Sol-1 exploration well commenced drilling on 11 May and had a planned target depth of 10,005 feet.
