StockMarketWire.com - Plant hire and mining support group Management Resource Solutions urged its shareholders to vote against an attempt by some investors to force their way onto the company's board.

Resolutions put to an upcoming meeting include a vote on whether John Zorbas and Timothy Jones should be removed form the board and be replaced by Nigel Burton, Trevor Brown and Daniel Smith.

'Mr Burton and Mr Brown have been on the board before and I do not support their return which I believe would lead to management disruption and jeopardise the completion of refinancing plans currently in their final stages,' chairman Paul Brenton said.

'As far as I am aware, Mr Smith has no public company experience.'

Brenton said the company 'categorically denied' allegations ranging from bad judgement to conflicts of interest in relation to its acquisition of Alerion.

'An independent valuation of Alerion and an independent legal review of the board's procedures leading up to the acquisition have been initiated and the conclusions of both will be announced as soon as they are available,' Brenton said.
