StockMarketWire.com - Central Asia Metals said it was on track to meet full-year guidance for all three of its base metals despite a fall in copper and lead output in the first half of the year.

The unchanged guidance comes even as the company saw a slight fall copper and lead output during the first half of the year.

Copper output fell to 6,594 tonnes during the half from 6,747 tonnes a year earlier, while lead output dropped to 14,357 tonnes from 14,386 tonnes. Zinc output, however, rose to 11,517 in the half form 11,020 a year earlier.

Production guidance for its Sasa operations were in the range of 22,000 and 24,000 tonnes of zinc and between 28,000 and 30,000 tonnes of lead at slightly higher throughput levels. While its 2019 guidance for Kounrad copper production was in the range of 12,500 to 13,500 tonnes.
