StockMarketWire.com - Floorcoverings distributor Headlam's total group revenue for the 12 month period to 31 December increased by 5.3% compared with the previous year.

In the UK, favourable trading during November and December, up 3.7% and 6.8% respectively against strong prior year comparables, contributed to the 12 month like for like revenue increase of 5.9%.

The combined annual revenues from the group's Continental European businesses in local currency on a like for like basis, reduced by 2.3% and 7.3% when translated into sterling. The group says that based on the pleasing revenue performance, earnings for the 12 months to 31 December are likely to slightly exceed the group's internal performance target.
