- Westminster Group says repairs to the Sierra Queen's prop shaft have now been completed and the vessel is back in the water commencing sea trials.

Chief executive Peter Fowler said: "The Sierra Queen is an impressive vessel and whilst the repairs have taken far longer than anyone would have liked due to numerous local challenges, once she is operational she will be providing a much needed and eagerly awaited service.

"Now that the Ebola crisis has ended and new and existing airlines are expanding services, passenger numbers are increasing and in this respect it is encouraging to see direct services from the UK have once again commenced with a new carrier Fly Salone who started operations this month. The increasing passenger numbers mean that the fast, safe and efficient transfer service offered by the Sierra Queen between the airport and mainland is expected to be in high demand."
