Professor Brown was the director of research at the Centre for Tissue Regeneration Science within the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculo-Skeletal Sciences (Division of Surgery) at the Medical School, University College London.

Throughout his tenure, he provided expert advice to the Company on R&D strategy and novel clinical applications for its products. He had a wealth of experience in the field of collagen chemistry, biomaterials and tissue engineering and during his esteemed career, had studied how the sourcing, formulation and processing of collagen biomaterials are critical for their effectiveness as functional components of therapeutic treatments for a range of clinical indications.
