- Westminster Group said, in an update on its Sierra Leone ferry project, that flagship vessel Sierra Queen has performed well in sea trials having now completed various trial crossings and manoeuvres.

Works on the Targrin Ferry Terminal have been completed and the terminal is fully operational.

The government contractors are yet to complete works on the provision of new jetties at the main Government Wharf Terminal however an alternative landing point adjacent to the terminal has been secured and cleared in order to provide a temporary landing stage appropriate for the ferry's operations until the new jetties are in place.

Brand new 50-seat coaches to transport passengers to and from the airport to the ferry terminal are ready for deployment and comprehensive crew training has been undertaken.

It is anticipated that operations and revenues from ticket sales will commence in April once final governmental formalities have been completed.
