The company's new store opening programme in the UK and internationally is in line with its plans.

It has opened its first three stores in Italy - in Rome's Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, and one in Turin airport.

The company said there are further opportunities in the international news, books and convenience travel market.

The high street business is performing in line with expectations. The company said cost savings and margin improvements have been delivered in line with its profit focused strategy.

Group results for the year to 31 August 2017 are expected to be in line with expectations.
