- Andrews Sykes Group's operating profits rose to £8.2m in the six months to the end of June - up from £6.4m last time.

Revenue and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation from continuing operations rose to £35.3m and £10.9m respectively - up from £30.3m and £8.8m a year ago.

Chairman JG Murray said: 'The group produced a successful result for the first half of 2017, once again the winter months created some good opportunities for our heating and boiler hire products.'
