- Senior upgraded its profit guidance after a site sale boosted the performance of its aerospace division.

Trading during the four months from July to October was in line with expectations, the company said.

However, it said it was able to sell its Aerospace BWT Ilkeston site for £0.4m.

"As a result of the sale of the Ilkeston site, Senior will not now incur the full site closure costs," the company said.

"Consequently, aerospace performance is anticipated to be slightly ahead of previous expectations."

Senior also announced that it had appointed Ian King as its chairman-designate.

At 8:02am: [LON:SNR] Senior PLC share price was +1.85p at 272.55p
