- LED lighting specialist Dialight said it swung to a modest profit in 2017 after revenue was kept flat by production problems.

The company booked a pre-tax profit of £3.0m, compared to a £3.8m loss in 2016.

Revenue was broadly flat at £181.0m.

'2017 was a disappointing year, in which operational issues hampered our ability to deliver orders to our customers,' chief executive Marty Rapp said.

'We are taking corrective action and in the near term are wholly focused on the manufacturing challenges which will continue to impact our results in the first half of 2018.'

'As a consequence our results for 2018 will be heavily weighted to the second half, reflecting the successful resolution of these issues.'
