StockMarketWire.com - Bacanora Lithium said it expected to produce final cost estimates for its Sonora lithium project in Mexico by the end of June.

Front-end engineering design work for the project was ongoing, the company said, while adding that Hanwa Corporation of Japan has agreed 'in principle' to extend their initial lithium off-take partnership for a further five years.

The agreed rate with Hanwa was for 17,500 tonnes per annum of lithium carbonate, on the same commercial terms as the initial five-year off-take.

The current timetable was to commission the plant within 20 months, subject to project financing, Baconara said.
