- Gold explorer Ariana Resources Wednesday maintained its full-year gold production guidance after revealing production increased 47% in the June quarter compared to the previous quarter.

For the three months to 30 June, gold production rose to 7,171 ounces, up 47% from 4,866 ounces the previous quarter.

Total ore processed for the quarter was 49,325 tonnes, up from 44,897 tonnes the previous quarter, at an average head grade to the plant of 4.77 grams per tonne of gold.

Quarterly open pit ore mined was roughly 70,400 tonnes, at an average mined grade of 4.18 grams per tonne of gold, and total material movement for the quarter was roughly 758,000 tonnes. 'The results of the past quarter are our best to date, outperforming overall quarterly feasibility-study expectations by 92%,' said Dr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director. The company maintained its full year production guidance of at least 20,000 ounces of gold.
