StockMarketWire.com - Logistics company Wincanton Group said it had appointed Martin Read as its new chairman, effective from August.
Read was currently chairman of two government-owned companies: the Low Carbon Contracts Company and the Electricity Settlements Company.
He would shortly be stepping down from the franchise board of Lloyd's of London, where he had served for nine years.
He was also a former chief executive of IT services company Logica and chairman of Laird.
