StockMarketWire.com - Salt Lake Potash said a scoping study indicated a new sulphate-of-potash demonstration plant in Western Australia state would cost around A$49m (£28m) to develop.

Average cash operating costs at the 50,000 tonnes per annum plant would amount to around A$387 per tonne, the study found.

South Lake Potash said it planned to construct an initial pound system by the end of 2018 in parallel with completing a feasibility study.

Initial potash production was targeted for early 2020.
