- Hungarian-based budget carrier Wizz Air Holdings said it boosted passenger numbers by 20.4% in the month of August, after it added new routes to countries including Ukraine and Poland.

Passenger numbers increased to 3,476,091, while load factors rose by 0.2 percentage points to 95.6%.

Capacity increased 20.1% as 20 new routes were announced, including six to Ukraine, three to Poland, three to Lithuania, three to Kosovo, two to Hungary and one each to Romania, Bulgaria and Albania.
