- Avesoro Resources maintained full-year production guidance even as third-quarter output was challenged by heavy rain during the quarter.

The company maintained its full-year production guidance range of 220,000 to 240,000 ounces of gold.

For the three months ended to 30 September, the company produced 47,177 ounces of gold, down 22% from the second quarter of the year.

Production for the final quarter of the year was expected to increase following the peak of the wet season in the third quarter, the company said.

'I am pleased that the Company has been able to maintain total material movement throughout the peak of the wet seasons in both Liberia and Burkina Faso, with Youga, in particular, experiencing three times more rain this year than during the same period in 2017,' said Serhan Umurhan, Chief Executive Officer of Avesoro.

'Moving into the fourth quarter of the year we expect total material movement to increase and we maintain our full year production guidance of 220,000 to 240,000 ounces of gold.'
