- Transport tech company 21st Century Technology said Friday it had signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Safety Tech, to supply the company's 'mirrorless' camera monitoring system to bus and coach operators and original equipment manufacturers throughout the UK.

Under the agreement, the Group's subsidiary 21st Century AB in Stockholm had exclusivity to supply the company's camera monitoring system 'Smartvision' directly to the bus and coach operators throughout Sweden.

The company’s camera monitoring system would greatly reduce the risk of collisions with other road users, pedestrians, street furniture and trees, Impact said. The 'Smartvision' camera monitoring system would support Transport for London's commitment to eliminate death and serious injury involving buses. 'We have been working with Safety Tech, on this strategically important and revolutionary new safety solution for over two years and we are delighted today to be announcing a 3-year exclusive distribution agreement for the UK and Sweden,' said Russ Singleton, Chief Executive Officer of 21st Century. 'It is a major step forward for C21 in helping PTEs and operators improve public transport safety and fulfilling H&S policy. As part of our agreement we will also be providing design services to the vehicle manufacturers to ensure the system is correctly installed for every vehicle type.'
