- Stocks and shares website ADVFN said Monday profits more than doubled driven by its strong cryptocurrency information offering.

For the year ended 12 months, profit before tax more than doubled to £0.442m from £0.214m a year earlier, and revenue rose 12.4% to £9.2m. Average head count at the company rose to 46 for the year, above the company's annual target of 40.

The company said it expected that its cryptocurrency information offering would continue expand the audience and traffic of its sites.

'The Blockchain and crypto currencies are a new area that we are building upon, which could open up new opportunities that I hope we can develop and into which we can push the business,' the company said.
