StockMarketWire.com - Schroder Income Growth Fund boosted its net asset value per share by 4.0% in the year through August, while increasing its dividend.

The fund's performance was a little below a 4.7% increase in the FTSE All-Share Index, but above a 3.8% return from the peer group median fund.

Schroder Income Growth Fund declared a total distribution for the year of 11.8p per share, up 5.4% on-year.

'Surveys suggest that the UK stock market has rarely been so unpopular with international investors as it is now,' chairman Ian Barby said.

'It is easy to see why - it is equally rare for the political backdrop to be as unclear - nevertheless the market has continued to provide opportunities to meet our long-term goal.'
