- Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air Holdings flew 11% more passengers during the month of November on-year, as it launched new routes to and from Poland, Ukraine and Hungary.

Passenger volumes in November jumped to 2.4m as the company expanded its flying capacity by 7.7%.

Load factors improved by 2.9 percentage points to 91.2%.

Wizz Air added 17 new routes to and from Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and Lithuani.

It also announced that said Krakow would become its 26th base, with two new Airbus A321 aircraft deployed from summer 2019 operating 12 new routes to nine countries.
