- Australian-based mining services company Management Resource Solutions swung to annual profit after boosting sales by almost a third.

Pre-tax profit for the year through June amounted to A$5.4m, compared to a A$10.8m loss on-year.

Revenue rose 32% to $69.1m.

'2018 was a busy and successful year for MRS, as the group benefited from a number of initiatives to turn around the business and drive a strong performance,' chief executive Paul Brenton said.

'The new management team have worked hard to make the business leaner and fitter, with a disciplined focus on controlling costs and leveraging the group's central processes in order to deliver sustainable profit and returns.'

'Along with the internal measures taken to put the Company on a secure footing, we have seen strong market demand for the group's specialist services.'
