- Europa Metals said Thursday phase two drilling at its Toral lead, zinc and silver project in Spain had shown 'promising results.'

The company said the three infill diamond drill holes conducted at the Toral project intersected lead, zinc and silver mineralisation, confirming block model grade and thickness.

Drilling intercepted copper mineralisation within 280 meters of surface, with drill hole TOD-020 returning 0.68% of copper at 3 meters and 1.34% copper at 1 meter, the company added.

Europa said it would build the results into existing data sets and correlating with on-going surface mapping programme was expected to be completed in first quarter 2019.

During 2019, Europa Metals planned to continue its Phase II drilling into the main high grade zones of the project.

'Our limited, focused drill programme has given us promising results, confirming the block model results and geological theory of increasing grade with depth,' said Myles Campion, technical director of Europa Metals.

'I look forward to 2019 and expanding the infill drilling into the deeper, high grade core of Toral.'
