- LiveData company WANdisco said Thursday it had won a $0.7m contract with a 'major' American managed healthcare company.

The agreement, secured through its OEM sales partnership with IBM, would see IBM deploy the company's patented Big Data and Cloud product, WANdisco Fusion, the company said.

The three-year agreement was valued at approximately $0.7m in royalties to be paid to WANdisco, the company added.

The managed healthcare client had substantial data requirements with over 45 million customers and 5,700 hospitals in its network and was using Fusion on-premise for replication and disaster recovery, WANdisco said.

Earlier this year, WANdisco expanded its relationship with IBM, increasing the royalty percentage to 50% from 30% previously, and agreeing a guaranteed annual royalty commitment.

WANdisco had also engaged in joint engineering work to support IBM BigSQL and other products, expanding the total addressable market.
