StockMarketWire.com - Millennium & Copthorne Hotels said it had entered into a 10-year agreement with Hilton for the operation of its new five-star hotel in London Mayfair.

The £50m refurbishment remained on track to open in Spring 2019 with 308 guest rooms, including 51 suites, the company said.

Under the agreement, Hilton would operate the hotel, which has been rebranded as The Biltmore, Mayfair, as part of its new LXR Hotels & Resorts luxury hotel collection.

'With its prime location, bespoke products, and quintessential services under LXR, The Biltmore, Mayfair will be fit for royalty, well-travelled guests from around the world and senior corporate executives,' interim chief executive Tan Kian Seng said.

'We look forward to welcoming our first customers in the coming spring.'
