- Mobile content retailer Mobile Streams said it had hired a local consultant to help map the 'imminent' launch of its games services in Indonesia.

The company said an initial launch with a local partner would facilitate the adoption of a mobile games service with local telecom operators quicker than a direct approach.

Additionally, Mobile Streams said it would also pursue direct agreements with telecom operators.

'Since the beginning of the financial year, the company has considered a number of markets to complement Latin America and India,' chief executive Simon Buckingham said.

'We strongly believe that Indonesia, a sizable market with a population of over 250m, provides the best opportunity to achieve positive results in both the short and long term.'
