- Asiamet Resources said additional resource evaluation drilling at the Beruang Kanan Main copper deposit in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia had produced positive results.

A total of 22 holes for 2,975 metres of diamond core drilling had been completed to date and drilling was continuing with a further 1,825 metres planned.

Five drill rigs were being utilised in order to the complete all of the proposed drilling, including a number of additional geotechnical holes, in the first quarter of 2019.

The drilling is required to complete a bankable feasibility study for the project.

'Initial results have been positive and in line with expectations,' chief executive Peter Bird said.

'A successful outcome from this work is expected to significantly enhance project economics and the robustness of the BKM bankable feasibility study ahead of project financing,' he added.
