- Anglo American said the value of rough diamond sales at its De Beers unit had increased during the third cycle of 2019 to $575m from $469m seen in the second cycle.

The figure compared to $524m seen in the third cycle of 2018.

'As we move into the second quarter of the year, we saw a continuation of stable demand for our rough diamonds during the third cycle of 2019,' said Bruce Cleaver, CEO of De Beers Group.
