StockMarketWire.com - Logistics group Wincanton said it had secured a contract from supermarket chain Morrisons to provide transportation services from three distribution centres to its stores.
The five-year contract would see Wincanton manage all transportation planning and operations from the three locations.
It would also be responsible for vehicle maintenance through its fleet management business at five Morrisons sites.
'This significant new contract with Morrisons further underlines our position as a leading logistics provider in the grocery retail market,' chief executive Adrian Colman said.
