- Indivior released the results of study data that showed a substantial number of opioid users that took its addiction treatment had abstained from the drug a year later.

The study examined the long-term recovery in individuals after transition from a pivotal phase three clinical trial to a real-world setting.

Among the 212 total participants, 133, or 63%, continued some form of medication for opioid use disorder.

Another 79, or 37%, received no further treatment after completing the trial.

Of those participants who did not continue with treatment, 57% were abstinent for the first 12-month recovery period, while 63% of participants who continued using treatment were abstinent.

The results were reported at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence in San Antonio, Texas.
