- Topps Tiles said its like-for-like sales had risen 3.8% in the third quarter of its financial year.

The increased marked an improvement in performance in the first half of the year, for which like-for-like sales had risen 0.2%.

Topps Tiles said it had launched 25 new ranges this year and launched a new customer feedback system.

The company's foray into the commercial tiles market, meanwhile, was making 'good' progress.

'The business performed well over the third quarter with like-for-like sales growing by 3.8%,' chief executive Matthew Williams said.

'While this is in part due to a softer trading period in the prior year we are encouraged that the successful execution of our strategy is delivering good trading results.'
