StockMarketWire.com - Sports nutrition company Science in Sport said its revenue in the first half had almost doubled following the acquisition in December of PhD Nutrition.

In a trading update, the company said revenue for the six months through June rose to £24.9m, up from £9.9m on-year.

The improvement also reflected growth in the SiS brand, with like-for-like sales rising 21%.

Cash at the half year was £5m.

'The group continues to trade well and remains in line with market expectations for the full year,' Science in Sport said.
