- Standard Life Aberdeen said it had sold down more of its stake in Indian life insurer HDFC Life for around 32.0bn Indian rupees, or £374m.

The shares were sold at an average price of 480.701 rupees and amounted to about 3.33% of the company.

Standard Life Aberdeen said its holding in HDFC Life had consequently been reduced to 19.69%, which it said was worth about 200bn rupees, or £2.3bn, based on the company's current share price.
