- MOD Resources said a joint venture in Botswana had made progress obtaining a permit for its proposed T3 copper mine in the African nation.

The country's department of environmental affairs had finalised its assessment of the mine's environmental and social impact assessment.

It had concluded that 'it has adequately identified and assessed anticipated impacts associated with the proposed activity', the company said.

The document would now be formally released for public review, open for four weeks.

'The release of the ESIA for public review is a very important milestone towards being granted a mining licence for the proposed T3 open pit mine and processing plant,' chief executive Julian Hanna said.
