- Larsen & Toubro was awarded a contract to construct the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

The key development spectrum covered cut and fill works, terminal works including departure and arrival forecourts, airfield development works, landside facilities, utilities and support facilities, the company said.

The passenger terminal building of the airport would be enhanced to handle 20 million passengers per annum (MPA), up from an initial capacity of 10 MPA.

'Having built almost all the major international airports in the country including Terminal 2 of the Mumbai International Airport, this order once again affirms our credentials as the foremost builders of airport infrastructure in the country,' said Mr. S N Subrahmanyan, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, L&T.
