StockMarketWire.com - Bluejay Mining said it had shipped the bulk sample from its Dundas ilmenite mineral sands project to the Port of Contrecoeur in Canada for further testing, with a view to confirm commercial use.

The 42,000 tonne bulk sample would be stockpiled at Bluejay's processing facility to undergo further refinement of up to about 10,000 tonnes of heavy mineral concentrate from which half – an estimated ilmenite content of 4,500 tonnes -- would be sent to Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium Canada for testing at their Sorel-Tracy Plant in Quebec.

'Once delivered this material will undergo large scale smelter test work designed to confirm suitability for long term commercial use at this facility,' the company said.
